The Perm band Gnoomes have been playing together since 2014 and have accomplished a lot since then: they released the "It's Moonbow Time, Boy" EP, after which they were noticed by the western public. In 2015 an independent British label Rocket Recordings released Gnoomes debut LP "Ngan" on vinyl and CD. After the release, Gnoomes ended up in a worthy company of label-mates such as Goat, Hey Colossus, Oneida and others. Gnoomes also went on a "Ngan" supporting tour in Europe. After Gnoomes made such a statement in Western Europe, even the conservative Russian public began to talk about them but of course it's out of comparison with Europe where they have been mentioned on BBC Radio and Clash Music.
"Ngan" is a strange but safe trip through dark and foggy nooks of neighboring genres such as Krautrock, Shoegazing and Psychedelic. Four different tracks which are all united by a certain hypnotic motor-beat, electronic edge and clear, even pop-like, vocals. The longest tracks are the first and the last ones. They are outstanding monumental chef-d'œuvres which are quite in harmony with their duration.
